“Aggressive, metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer” is not something I wanted to hear at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday in July of 2022. My wife and I found understanding, compassion and support from the Clinical Research Coordinator, from Dr. David Buck, radiation oncologist, from Megan Mellon, NP, and a cadre of experienced, knowledgeable and caring staff before, during and following my treatments. All of our questions, and we had many of them, have been answered quickly and clearly throughout the trial. To be able to participate in such worthwhile research was a positive educational journey made possible by the staff of Blue Ridge Cancer Care.
