Biography

Matt strives to understand the most current science and applies it to the care of all his patients. He believes the collaboration between team members at Blue Ridge Cancer Care provides patients with the best resources from a variety of multidisciplinary experts. Together, they are able to offer the best treatment options for each individual.

Matt always knew he wanted to pursue healthcare. During his undergraduate studies, a college advisor encouraged him to apply to Springfield College’s physician assistant program. He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and has additional training as an investigator for hematology and oncology clinical trials. He has been recognized by OurHealth magazine with the Best Bedside Manner Award. Matt is married with two children attending college. Outside of work, he enjoys long distance running and marathon coaching. He has run 14 marathons and ultra-marathons.
