Dr. Lowell Inhorn was raised in Madison, Wisconsin where he earned a B.S. in biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin. He received his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Inhorn completed his residency in internal medicine at the Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Inhorn is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, and maintains memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the American Medical Association, the Virginia Medical Society and the Roanoke Academy of Medicine. He has co-authored a number of articles in the medical literature and is a member of several hospital committees.
Dr. Inhorn and his wife, Cynthia, reside in Roanoke County, Virginia with their two children. They are all musicians and are active participants in cultural activities throughout the Roanoke Valley. On sunny weekends, you are likely to find Dr. Inhorn on his bicycle enjoying the gorgeous scenery of rural Virginia.
