Biography

Dr. Padmaja Mallidi was born in India and graduated from Guntur Medical College, University of Health Sciences in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, affiliated with Cornell University Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Mallidi then did her subspecialty training in hematology and medical oncology at West Virginia University Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia. 

She is board certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine. She graduated from the University of Arizona in June 2011 with a fellowship in integrative medicine. 

Dr. Mallidi is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American College of Physicians, Society of Integrative Oncology, Roanoke Academy of Medicine and American Medical Association, etc. 

She received the “Best Resident” award during her residency training. She also received “Outstanding Attending Physician” award from the Carilion Clinic Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Mallidi has been practicing at Blue Ridge Cancer Care in the Roanoke office location since 2003. She cares for patients with different cancers including breast, lung, colon, head and neck, lymphoma, leukemia, brain tumors and others and a wide range of diseases related to blood disorders. Dr. Mallidi continues to be active in clinical cancer research. She has contributed to various publications and presentations. She enjoys teaching medical students and residents. 

She also serves as a member of the cancer committee for Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. 

She has a passion for holistic care and would like to incorporate healthy eating and lifestyle habits, herbal supplements and adjunctive therapies in the management of her patients.
